Kolkata: Australian striker David Wiiliams signed a one-year contract with Indian Super League (ISL) side ATK Mohun Bagan FC on Tuesday.
ATK, the reigning ISL champion, merged with I-League champions Mohun Bagan. The new team will be called ATK Mohun Bagan.
“I’m very excited to let you know that I have re-signed with the club for one more year. I’m grateful for this opportunity and happy to be a part of history. Last year we created we created history and I am sure this year will be no different,” said Williams in a video posted on the club’s Twitter handle.

“We’ve got an exciting squad so I’m just looking forward to getting back to training and getting back in the game,” he added.
Williams was instrumental in ATK’s win last season with seven goals and five assists in 18 matches. His combination with star striker Roy Krishna will continue as the Fijian has also signed on for another year at the club.
ATK Mohun Bagan will also play in the AFC Cup from the group stages.
Chennaiyin FC have parte ways with star striker Jeje Lalpekhlua and former captain Lucian Goian. Jeje made 76 appearances for the club in his six-year stay in Chennai, winning the ISL title twice with the club.
Jamshedpur FC signed goalkeeper TP Rehenesh.
