New Delhi: Bengal Warriors recorded their best victory in Pro Kabaddi League by crushing UP Yoddha 48-17, while in the second match of the day Dabang Delhi defeated Telugu Titans 34-33, on Wednesday.

Bengal Warrior’s Maninder Singh and Mohammed Nabibaksh gave a tough competition to the Yoddha. Baldev Singh scored 7 tackle points by his strength and toughness.

The UP Yoddha just scored five tackle points, where Manu Goyat scored six points but didn’t get enough support.

In the first 10 minutes, it was an evenly matched contest as both teams were level 6-6.

The Warriors soon shifted gears and went on a scoring spree. In the first half, both the defence and raiders of UP Yoddha scored just three and four points respectively. At the end of the first half, Bengal Warriors led 17-9.

Warriors inflicted another all out to lead 22-10. Manu Goyat picked up a raid point in the 23rd minute as UP Yoddha dragged 11-25. Nabibaksh produced an excellent super raid in the 24th minute to give Warriors a commanding 18-point lead as they led 30-12.

The Warriors inflicted another all out to lead 33-13 after 25 minutes. UP Yoddha were looking bereft of ideas to counter the strength and toughness that Warriors posed.

With less than a minute to go, Mohammed Nabibaksh achieved a super 10 to lead his team to victory.

In the second match of Dabang Delhi and Telugu Titans, the game was belonged to Suraj Desai, who scored 18 points, a record for the most points scored by a debutant in the PKL history.

Naveen stole the show. He ensured his side remained on top as he claimed a stunning 14 points, and the defence led by captain Ravinder Pahal combined extremely well to condemn Titans to a third successive loss.
