Deepa Malik receives the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award. Bajrang Punia was absent from the ceremony. Arjuna award winner Ravindra Jadeja was absent from the ceremony too as he is busy playing for India against the West Indies. Athlete Swapna Burman was also conferred with the Arjuna awards.
