The International Cricket Council (ICC), in collaboration with NIUM – next generation global payments platform, has announced the second edition of Next In Hackathon. The first edition of the Next In Hackathon was an international success in which 9550 teams participated from 113 countries worldwide.
The Next In Hackathon 2023 is inviting participants to showcase skills and collaboration to create solutions to enhance training, fan engagement, and participation which will culminate at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in India. This Hackathon provides an unmatched opportunity for sports and tech experts to innovate fan experiences, driving cricket’s growth through modern technology. Aligned with ICC’s vision, it engages a broader audience, allowing fans active access to the sport.
The second edition of the Hackathon involves three tracks of participation: Enhancing team/athlete training experience, Fan experience – In the stadium & at home, and Growing participation in the sport. There will be no limit to how many technologies are used for each track. However, knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Fintech, AR / VR, Web3, Blockchain, and Data Science is mandatory.

The shortlisted teams will be invited to build and present their creations to a panel of prestigious judges, including Hackathon Ambassador Anil Kumble, at an exclusive event at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
