New Delhi: Former Pakistan fast-bowler Aaqib Javid has compared India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah to Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Javed opined that Bumrah needs to learn the art of bowling with the new ball but is a better death ball bowler than Shaheen.
“(Jasprit) Bumrah is a really good bowler who is good at everything. Right, now he is better than Shaheen [Afridi] in terms of death bowling. Although, with the new ball, Shaheen is ahead of him,” Javed said.
The former Pak pacer also said Pakistan needed to manage the workload of ‘match-winner’ Shaheen.
According to him, it is “injustice” on Shaheen to be played in every match, urging the Pak team management to adopt a proper rotation policy.
“Shaheen should only play those matches which are important,” he added.
Javed has earlier said that Pak captain Babar Azam has a better technique than Indian captain Virat Kohli.
