Women’s T20 cricket to be part of 2022 Birmingham CWG

New Delhi: Following a joint bid by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) on Tuesday announced that Women’s T20 Cricket will be part of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. There will be 135 medals available for women and 133 for men. cricket news

Chief executive of Birmingham 2022 Ian Reid said, “I am delighted that our proposal to add women’s cricket, beach volleyball, and para table tennis to our sports programme has been endorsed by the CGF’s executive board and now by Commonwealth Games Associations from across the globe.” cricket news
